Alpena's Top Rated Soft Wash Experts - Your Premier Roof Cleaning & House Washing Service

We recently completed a residential exterior cleaning project for a homeowner on Lappan Rd. near Duck Point on Lake Huron, in Alpena, MI 49707. The customer reached out because his insurance company required his shingles to be cleaned before they would renew his policy. He accepted our roof cleaning estimate and also asked for pricing on his back deck and the siding on both the house and garage, which had turned green and needed attention.

Our Process:

Our team at Great Lakes Exterior Clean scheduled the work and began with a careful soft wash shingle cleaning to meet the insurance requirement. Once the roof work was underway, we moved on to the siding and trim. The house and garage siding were cleaned to remove green algae and grime, and we refreshed the fascia and eaves so they returned to a bright, white appearance. We also treated and cleaned the back deck to remove the algae that had made the surface slippery.

The Results:

The photos from the job show the change clearly. The siding went from dingy and green to bright and clean, and the fascia and eaves were restored to white. The roof appears several shades lighter after the shingle cleaning, and the deck is now algae-free, eliminating the slipping hazard it had become. These were the exact results the homeowner wanted, and they addressed his immediate insurance concern.

The customer was extremely happy with the outcome — especially when his insurance company agreed to renew his policy after seeing the cleaned shingles. That renewal was the main reason he contacted us, and we were glad to deliver a solution that satisfied both his insurer and his expectations for curb appeal and safety.
